nothing like a solid Foundation even if the serial number is in a seam maybe the folks on the Peavey forum know something: HELP! Peavey Foundation Bass SERIAL NUMBER(Picture included) - Peavey Forum
US models (yours) listed here too: List of Peavey guitars - Wikipedia serials at bottom. 0170xxxx t/m 0199xxxx ........................1984
I've got about 10 Peaveys and I've called the factory for each and every one when I bought it and found that Wikipdia list is not all that accurate according to Peavey's records although the last time I called them about a bass they told me that they have a new database and apparently it may be missing older data.
I have a 93 Foundation. The neck is tiny! 1.4" nut width. Never played anything else that narrow. It does feel good, though.
new database and apparently it may be missing older data.[/QUOTE] Thanks for the heads up Have you by the off chance tried a pickguard on your foundation I know they don't come with one but I have started messing around with the idea I'll post a pic I made a prototype ( it's by no means final just messing with shapes ) just cheacking anyone out there has done this? My foundy is in really bad shape I went through a relic stage years ago and god for give me out lights in the neck markers on the fretboard I'll post a pic of that too ( I know I'm opening a can of worms here I destroyed a legend but she still plays great and everything works fine I also have 3 other basses so it's not my go to anymore
Ok so I'm playing with a pickguard idea has anyone at all made a pickguard for a foundation bass? Yes I foolishly put lights in the neck 20 years a go/ and also thought relic basses looked cool so I did a bad job of that toodrool
