I like it. The bridge looks better than Rickenbacker's. I found a German store selling them for 449 Euros (~$600). If a US store sold them I might be tempted to buy one.

I'm betting that came out of the Shine factory, a lot of things the same,

    22 frets(though the Shine has a 21st fret inlay)
Full 34" scale unlike most Rick/copys,
    Same bridge,
    Same Bridge pickup cover,
    Made in Korea...

Nice lookin' "Ric." The bridge is what turns me off about Rics; this one looks better than the real thing. Sounds pretty good too.

$550, in dollars, and they can't be shipped legally, but, if you ask, they might do it.

I am surprised that Rickenbacker has not shut them down.

Not America, means Ric can't do a thing.

  9. My German is pretty lame, but I think he said it had a mahogany body. Does that make any sense or am I completely out to lunch on this?

Questions for those of you who know rics better than I do

    1. That pickup cover looks very wrong
    2. Is the neck pickup in the right place?
    3. Is the pick guard shaped correctly?
    4. Is the headstock the right shape?
    5. Are ric headstocks angled back that much? I thought they were flat like Fender.

The first three things are easily fixed by replacement parts if the basic instrument plays well.

Its listed as Nato, which is sometimes known as "eastern mahogany".

  11. That bridge is sweet!!!!!!!!!!!! It just goes to show you what can be done in the are of improvement. Perhaps Rickenbacker will get the message!!

I sure do like that ebony fingerboard too!!

I'll post it on the Rickenbacker forum and see how long it takes them to delete it. :smug:

I have the same bridge on my copy, works well, very well, though I'd like to be able to adjust each strings height independanly.

    And the fingerboard is rosewood.

I grow organic carrots and they are not for sale

They will ... it takes time to shut them down in Europe. You have a few months to get one if you want one of them.

I would buy one if they made a 5 string version.

  17. I would buy one if they offered it in a different color.
