Any one played one? it is like my dream/wish list bass. I know Claypool plays one and Stanley Clarke too. But I think there is a 3 yr waiting list.

    like butter!

It has been a while since I have played one, but it was quite a joy to play.

I used to own one, but it was an oldie (1974)

If you're interested in a Carl Thompson bass but ain't got the time or moola, you might want to check out the aforementioned Mr. Huff's work. Carl Thompson has made comments on his own website regarding the quality of Huff's basses. Huff even did some copies of Carl Thompson basses that Carl himself said may be better than the originals.

I myself have a Darrin Huff bass on MY dream/wish list.
