Cartoons you enjoy watching with your child(ren)?

Discussion in 'Off Topic [BG]' started by Chad Michael, May 14, 2004.

  1. Even though I miss the good ol' days of Bugs and Roadrunner etc., there are a few newer cartoons that are fun to enjoy with the little tyke.

We dig "Bob the Builder" with his heavy machinery friends, and "George and Martha" are quite funny. :D

Let's hear it parents, how about you and your little ones?

I don't have kids so it's pretty much South Park, Family Guy and gigs of anime porn.

I also predict being totally addicted to Phil Hendrie's animated show on FOX.

ps - if I did have kids - I'd have to be totally gacked to watch some of those shows they watch these days.

    Jimmy Neutron.

I watch it even when my kids aren't around.
  5. When I was a kid, I totally digged Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

    Cowabunga, dude.

Ooohhhh.....who lives in a pineapple under the sea?...........SpongeBob Squarepants.

I thought it would be cool to show my son what cartoons I watched as a kid. Took him to Suncoast, and we found a couple VHS tapes of old Star Blazers episodes. I picked up a few tapes, about 15 episodes in all. I enjoy it more than he does.

  8. the first two are alright, III is total suckage though. And the old video games rocked too

I said cartoons, not thinly veiled merchandising rights. (Ergo, none of the many "collector" cartoons like Digimon, Yu-Gi-Oh, Pokemon, ect.)

I've said it before and I'll say it again: the only TV shows worth watching are animated.

I get half my material from Freakazoid. Seriously, my brothers can and do spend hours quoting that show. It was brilliance, sheer brilliance.

The one episode forever ingrained on my memory is the one where
Freakazoid takes on the obsessed fan @ the Sci-Fi convention.

I am a part of a rare generation of kids who grow up throught the 90's. When Spider-man, The Hulk, Batman, Beast wars and X-men were on. I enjoyed the time right before parents started to care what their kids were watching.

Ps Jimmy Neutron is the BIGGEST rip off of Dextors Laboratory. Nuff said!!

The Brak Show and the original Ren & Stimpy are my favorites..

When my son is with me we like to watch SpongeBob and Bob the Builder (although it speaks volumes to me that cartoon characters now have cell phones and fax machines..)
