Carvin cabs are beastly...window breakers for sure!

What's the shipping on that thing?

It's a great cab, and definitely a good deal.

To me, a hundred bucks - I'm in Canada, but still - $200 for a 400W cab is hard to pass up even if it sucks. I just have to explain it to you know who.

That's a way-old PA cab - not a bass cab. But it could function as a bass cab, as per this thread:

    Boutique 3-way 115 and 215 on a budget

    I have to chuckle at the item description for another reason too: "Cabinet includes: 1 Carvin65 Speaker - 150W [6.5" dia] 1 Carvin10 Speaker - 200W [10" dia] 1 JBL E145-8 Speaker - 300W [15" dia]" - I'm SURE not seeing any 10" driver there. But I am seeing a super-small-lensed compression driver.
  5. I laughed at that description too. Also don't see a JBL in that cab (but I could be wrong).

+1 on the OLD P.A. cab. Carvin has not made them in years

Yep, that's an older 3-way PA cab. Good setup for clean sound though with the mid-driver and tweet. Heck, if you don't like the way your bass sounds through it, use it in your pa, vocals come through clearer/fuller with the 3-way setup.

He has two, he just relisted the second one... shoulda bough it for our PA!

    I was also pretty sure I didn't see a 10"... maybe 8.

    It should be a 15, either a 6.5 or an 8, and a tweet.

Turns out it sucks and I'm $290 poorer.

I can't EQ the highs off, maybe someone else could with their head. The 15" sounds pretty nice though, if you can hear past the little speakers.

You might want to disconnect the horn.
Also add a level control for the midrange speaker so you can turn it down.
You should ask the seller for a partial refund since he advertised it incorrectly as a bass speaker.
