Carvin Bass 200 1x12 w

    since my last post got deleted for lnking to something for sale..ill just copy it down "Carvin 200watt 1x12w/horn 3 band preQ,5 band post EQ,comp/gate.Lightly used and never gigged.$200"

    see how it says 1x12 in the discription...the picture looks like a 12"
    speaker to, but on the carvin website it says they are 15". Is this just an older modle? And its actuly only 160 watts. Would this be a good amp to get? the amp in the picture looks pretty new. How would this compare to a Peavey TNT 115? And would it be loud enough to hear over a drummer?

    Carvin made that combo with both a 12 and a 15, same amp section, different speaker and casing, depending on which size speaker you wanted.

    It would be good for home practice, and while it could be heard over a quiet drummer, I think it would struggle and be run to distortion trying to keep up. A 15 would struggle less in that combo, IMO.
