Listen to Ed Friedland, or better yet, get his slap bass DVD. It was done with an LB 70.

    Beat me to it.

    He's just one mean machine.

  5. Never plugged one in, but I've played on a Bunny Brunell and it was really comfortable to slap on.

Yup, they're great for slapping. My old LB76 had a great slap tone. And yeah, listen to Bunny and Ed.

  7. I got a LB75 and LB76F, great slappers! IMHO

A friend of mine has an LB76 (he's onto his second one after the truss rod de-funked-Carvin replaced the bass...and let him upgrade it as he saw fit!) and he loves it for slapping on. He's an amazing player (being taught by Stu Hamm couldn't have hurt either!) so I kinda trust him on that one...

sadly though, I've never had the oppertunity to play a Carvin...
