What do Carvin combos and heads sound like?
    Where are they made?
  2. Made near Mexico.

    San Diego.

don't think the combo's will pass your scrutiny and rattle test, based on what i read about your experience with the ashdowns and ampegs.

you need a nemises 210 or 115 or even the 410. The eden cxc combos are expensive, but worth it if you can get a deal (like 40% off list)

Maybe an old Peavey TNT 150 would be up you ralley. Those are indestructable. Many people just leave them outside in the garage.
  3. San Diego, California.

As for the rest, start by doing a search, as this has been discussed a lot. You could also check the bulletin board over at www.carvin.com.

And you might want to focus your question a little bit!;)
