Has anyone played one of these new Carvins? Anybody OWN one? Any opinions and views would be appreciated. Let me know...Thanks.

haven't played one. I do however think they are a huge step up from previous Carvins in the asthetics department.

Go to the Carvin Museum Forum. There is a thread in the bass section now, and more will likely follow as people begin to get their new Icons.

Icons give me GAS :) .
  6. Someone got his yesterday morning and was quite enthusiastic but wasn't able to plug it in (he was at work). I'm sure he'll let us know more details.

I've had mine nearly a week now and I'm loving it. :hyper: (By now, you've probably read the thread I started) They're well worth checking out. I haven't yet played it in a band situation but I'm confident that with the range of tones I'll fit right in.

I'm hoping Carvin will put some sound samples of the new electronics on their site.

I played one at NAMM this winter and it was pretty nice.
