The little brown truck ddelivered this on Thursday:

    lb70sofa. lb70back. lb70floor.

Carvin LB70 neck-through with black hardware and flamed koa top. I got it with the J99 pickups. This bass plays like butter in my hands. Playing with our band yesterday it cut through the mix great. My bandmates commented several times on how nice it sounded.

I know there are plenty of people who put down Carvin electronics, but these J99's are great pickups in my book. The active EQ is great, too. I can get a ton of diffenert tones from this bass.

The neck is amazing. I have yet to find a dead spot. I played a solo yesterday that was easier to play and better sounding than ever before. The neck is a tad wider than I'm used to, but I'll get used to that quickly.

Fit and finish is as good as almost any bass I've seen.

The true test, of course, will be what I think of the instrument five years from now, but so far so good!

Great top. Puts the Fender Victor Baileys I've seen to shame.

I've had a LB75 for 6 years - it's not my main axe anymore - but it's still a great bass and I keep it in the kit!

Congrats on your new bass! :D
