i have an LB75P fretless in walnut. it plays wonderfully. its my baby. im a huge carvin fan and everyone knows im rather biased thouhg. i dont have a problem with the preamp and pickups, though most people dont like then. recently i havent even used the piezos a lot, just used passive J or HB blended together... i really like its tone with flatwounds, though rounds work well too. A friend of mine had an older LB75 fretted, and it had a nice big fat funky sound to it.

    pros:
    build quality
    woods
    playability
    low action
reliable, holds tune well, rarely needs neck tweaking
    looks great
    great balance
    sounds good in my opinion
    great bang for the buck

    cons:
house brand electronics are the weak point.
