This is an awesome bass, incredible bang for the buck. But I'm looking for a 5 string...six is one too many for me. I think $750 is a fair value, so that's more or less what I'd want a trade to be valued at...but anything considered, so come at me! Blurb below from my Reverb listing: This USA-made six thunders like nobody’s business. Carvin have long been the session bassist’s secret weapon due to their terrific bang for the buck, and this thing is no exception. Build quality is top notch - it’s tightly put together, beautifully shaped, and has one of the slickest neck through joints I’ve ever seen. The closer string spacing and low action make it play like butter. And it weighs in at just 9.5 lbs, so it's a pleasure to play on longer gigs. The factory preamp has been upgraded with a highly acclaimed Darkglass Tone Capsule. With Bass, Low-Mid and High-Mid controls, there are a ton of tonal possibilities on tap - from scooped nasal tones to slap-happy trebles to almighty thump. All of your landmark bass tones are here, and more. Neck volume is a push pull pot that enables you to switch to passive mode if you want - but the Darkglass sounds so good I predict you won’t want to. It’s in great shape. Although it has light play wear throughout, the finish (an almost incandescent pearl white that sometimes reflects blue, sometimes yellow) is still fantastic and the frets have plenty of life. About the biggest mark is a tiny scratch by the control plate.
