I bought this with the intent of converting to PJ but chickened out. I don't need 2 of them so this one is up for sale. Shipping scale says this one weighs 9.66 lbs. The bass is vintage cream color (pale yellow) with the matching 3x2 headstock and the finish is excellent. The neck has the optional hard satin finish which I sure prefer over the tung oil. The electronics are the upgraded Vol - Bal - Sweepable Mid, Bass/Treble. Vol and Balance knobs have pearl inlays which match the pickguard and the inlays in the neck. Classy! The frets show very minimal signs of use. They have been polished a bit by the strings but I see no valleys being warn into the frets. 34 Inch scale, 1 3/4" wide at the nut, string spacing is full 3/4" (19mm) at the bridge. Has straplock buttons on the body but I do NOT have the matching strap components. The case shows some signs of wear. Very serviceable but not pristine. I do NOT have the keys to the case so be warned. $820 shipped con-US
"The neck has the optional hard satan finish which I sure prefer over the tung oil." Interesting typo lol Love the bass GLWTS
Ok, Ok, I changed the spelling. I think I got it right this time. Unless you want the bass for metal. Then you may want to go with "Satan".
I just played this bass and my other SB5000 for a couple of hours. Head to head. Guess what, they don't sound the same. I'm not sure I want to sell it any more. For now, I'm taking it off the market.
