Is there a decent case from Musician's Friend that fits a 5501?
Without spending an arm and a leg?

I'm a little shy of SKB; I've got a rack case, and the latches never have been real good, so I'm a little dubious.

I bought a Freedom HSC at GC North a couple years ago for my 55-01, it fit great, about $70 bucks then. I also you use em for my 55-02 and MIM Fender Jazz 5er, they all fit well.

I just bought a Skyline Joe Osborn 5, seller included Lakland HSC. It says Lakland by the front handle; it says Freedom on a small label on back. Then again I only store my basses at home in their HSC's. I take em to gigs in gig bags so I can use the large pockets to carry cords, strap, etc. and easier to store on stage.
