    Hey people, i'm going to be buying a hardshell case for my bass eventually & am wondering what people think of the Fender Cases that are Black,Brown,& Tweed. My uncle has 2 [one on his '67 p-bass, & 1 on his '70s Strat] in black & the only thing that looks wrong with them is that the latches are alilttle bit tarnished looking. Any one else have any experince with them? tia

    I have 2 black Fender cases(one each from the '60s & '70s);
    I also bought 2 tweed cases(1 each from the '80s & '90s)'cause I am, at times, a retro-geek.
    I've experienced some wear & tear on the '60s case; the rest are fine & seem to be built pretty well.
    Few months ago, I added a Fender double-gig bag(cheap & effective for my purposes). A whole lot lighter!
