CASTERS ON TILT BACK AMP

I'm looking to add some casters to a tilt back amp since is kind of heavy. Any Ideas on location of the wheels ? side, bottom ?

I take it it's sort of a monitor wedge type shape......good question. Pretty much anywhere is going to be tipsy. Perhaps a dolly board to set it on? Basically a piece of plywood with wheels on it.

I was thinking about this for my Ampeg BA115, but the only way I can see doing this and it being stable when moving it is to make a custom-fit removable dolly.

Another vote for a dolly.

Perhaps one with latches that lock onto the cab.

Home Depot sells a little light weight aluminum hand truck that is perfect for the BA115...I've got one. The wheels are big enough to negotiate steps. It's about $20 and well worth it if you value your back. The amp is only around 40 lbs but that's still a lot of weight to carry.

I use a Magnacart to move everything from my house to the car, but casters are nice once the rig is in place at a gig/practice/etc.
