Where is the best place to get a CD duplicated? Any bands out there had good experiences with certain companies? My band is finishing up an EP in the next couple of weeks. We want to submit our own artwork and layout for the CD. We would like to have glass mastered CDs but CD-Rs will work also. We would like to get at least 500 with shrinkwrap but not have to commit to 2000 or more. Any help or good links would be really helpful. Thanks.
I had a great Experience at Diskfaktory.com -- CD Duplication, DVD Duplication & CD Replication, DVD Replication Headquarters When it comes to CD / DVD Duplication & Replication, Aside from great service, they also provide amazing deals. Most companies that advertise "CD Duplication Service" are just middle men that take your artwork and mastered tracks and make sure they are formatted correctly for the real manufacturer. I've gotten much cheaper pricing by going direct to an actual CD manufacturer, but I also know how to work with art files to make them the proper format per the instructions/templates they provided. If you have the ability to do that too, then save yourself some money and check out these guys: Duplium Corp.
I recommend dvd duplication services from WePrintDiscs.com. Their services are great in quality and definitely affordable. Out of all companies that I acquire cd and dvd duplication services, this company never failed to deliver.
Kunaki.com About $1 per cd or DVD. No minimum order. Delivered in 3-4 days every time I have ordered. No quality issues.
A good reference for dvd and cd duplication services would be WTS duplication. I have used them in the past and have been very happy both with their affordability as well as quality.
I 2nd this, we just used them for our EP. Product turned out fantastic. Although your limited to a single page insert for the front of the disk (front album cover and inside cover). And the shipping is great so long as you pay for he UPS shipping and not USPS. USPS being the cheaper option...works fine so long as your not in a rush to get them.
Great company. We did our EP with them and bought about 600 CDS from them. You get a basic plastic, cased CD with like you said a single page art but its cheap and good quality. We wanted a disc-pak, W/artwork this time so we went Oasis.
I *just* went through this. I considered DiskFaktory, and actually tried to use them but there was a shipping issue. Went with DiscMakers instead - they were FANTASTIC! Killer customer service, clearly were doing things at the top level.
Through Duplium Inc. that I mentioned in my post above, I've gotten 1000 glass mastered disks with a 4 page insert in a jewel case for about $0.80 a disk. Again, I did have to properly format all my artwork myself. If you don't know how to do your own art, then that's what you pay someone like DiskMakers an extra couple hundred to do for you.
I recommend VLR Media in Orlando, Florida. Musician owned, 15 years of experience, small shop, flexible order sizes and doesn't require massive minimum orders. Pricing quoted by job and depends on the total package of work being requested. PM for a contact phone number. Referrals good. Telemarketers bad.
I'll definitely have to look into some of these other places once we get to the point of doing a full length ablum. I was very happy with Kunaki but would like to print the lyrics and other info in the insert, which just can't be done on a single page.
If you are looking to do small cd duplication runs try Buskerdoo LLC. I've used them several times and their service and turn times are great.
Depends on how many you are printing. If you are only doing a couple hundred I just go with someone local. Why pay shipping?
