These guys give customer service a new name. check out the email i got after i ordered my cds...

    Subject: CD baby loves Jeff

Your CDs have been gently taken from our CD Baby shelves with
sterilized contamination-free gloves and placed onto a satin pillow.

A team of 50 employees inspected your CDs and polished them to make
sure they were in the best possible condition before mailing.

Our packing specialist from Japan lit a candle and a hush fell over
the crowd as he put your CDs into the finest gold-lined box that
    money can buy.

We all had a wonderful celebration afterwards and the whole party
marched down the street to the post office where the entire town of
Portland waved 'Bon Voyage!' to your package, on its way to you, in
our private CD Baby jet on this day, Thursday, March 18th.

I hope you had a wonderful time shopping at CD Baby. We sure did.
Your picture is on our wall as "Customer of the Year". We're all
exhausted but can't wait for you to come back to CDBABY.COM!!

    Thank you once again,

I love CDbaby, every time I order a CD from them it arrives ahead of schedule.

  5. Whoa, it turns out they did the exact same thing to my CDs when I ordered back in November, but I never even read the email (found it sitting in my box unopened...) I feel like such a heel for not even recognizing their hard work; I can see why they're so tired! ;)

  6. Now wait just a minute.... They told me I was "Customer of the Year". Something stinks here and it ain't my gotchies.

Another reason why CDbaby rules, they have a partnership with apple and the iTunes music store. *anyone* on CD baby can be put on the iTunes music store for an additional fee. which is pretty neat, because virtually anyone can be put on CDbaby for a fairly small fee, and iTunes has the potential to get you tons of exposure.

    oh yeah, check out:
    Brian Granger - modern singer/songwriter
United by sound - Electronic, kind of down-tempo, like theivery corporation
Lori Andrews - One of the world's only jazz harpists.

CDbaby has some stuff with Ed Fuqua on bass...
    ...like Jeff Siverbush's Pojo.

Wow, I just gave a listen to your CD, and I think I may just have to buy a copy...

I really reccomend that all TBers give you a listen!

  14. Some of my favorite CD Baby purchases (not that anybody asked) ...

    Mark Egan - "Freedom Town"

Elements - "Far East I & II" (w/ Egan, Gottlieb, Goldstein, Mann)
    These get honourable mention!

Jose Lugo - "Piano Con Mata"
