    I have been on an amp restoration kick over the last couple of years. Now that I am finished with my projects, I have some left over speakers with no matching projects. I would love to move them along to someone who needs them.

    First off is a vintage Cerwin Vega 188EB. It is a full-range 18 inch, 8 ohm speaker that was used in vintage Sunn / Cerwin Vega / Acoustic Control Corp cabs. Great shape. Original cone. No tears. These generally sell for about $100. I figure shipping will be about $30. I am asking $60 shipped anywhere in the 48 contiguous US.

    What is the rms wattage on the CV 188EB? Thanks.

    Cerwin Vega marketed them as 250 watts RMS with a frequency range of 38Hz to 5,000Hz. There are stories about Cerwin Vega founder Gene Czerwinski pumping MASSIVE amounts of wattage through these at trade shows to demonstrate that they were nearly indestructible. It is a pretty efficient speaker (100+ db at 1w/1m), that really does sound as good as any full range 15 that I have played.
