I'd like to take some weight off of an American Standard Jazz Alder body with Nordy pickups I've been playing....

Am I wasting time and money?

Should I just find a light weight body?

How deep do I need to go on a drill press under the pickguard without going through the back??

What size diameter should the chamber holes be?

Is there a suggested spacing to maintain tone?

The weight difference will be minimal and you will kill the value of the bass.

    The tone wont really change.
