Ever since I was a kid I wanted a real Stingray. They were just the coolest, sweet chrome, metalflake, bright colors. One day I got a good deal on an OLP, I did a lot of work on it and eventually it became one of my favorites. But it still wan't a real Stingray because it said OLP on it. It needed a real Stingray decal to finish the look. I know some people get mad with changing the logo on a bass to pretend it's another company but I don't care and I don't really care if one day I sell it and someone else gets fooled. I like it. {}
I read your post and my blood started to boil, then I looked at the attachment... Hilarious! At least your 'Sting Ray' has more MM DNA than the Schwinn bike has Raleigh Chopper DNA...
Noooooooooooooo. How are people supposed to know that's not a real Stingray bicycle? Youre being completely dishonest.
Hahaha...that's great. You may have inspired me to put a Ford Thunderbird emblem on an Epi T-bird. {}
I had a rare (custom color?) lime green Schwinn Sting-ray when I was a kid. It was one of the happiest days of my life when my father took me to the bike shop to buy it for me and one of the saddest days of my life when it later got stolen from our front porch (despite it being locked up).
So, you're not worried that this bass will be pedaled off on someone, saddling them with a fake? You'll deal with that fork in the road when you come to it, eh? I implore you to put the brakes on this. A wise man once spoke about the cycle of these things. He said, "Sometimes a chain of events can come back to derail your life".
I think that's pretty clever! As long as you aren't trying to scam anyone I think it is fine to put whatever decal you like on your property.
Well played, sir. I had a Stingray clone bike when I was a kid. I loved that bike. You need to put a sissybar on your bass.
