changing pickup covers

    I recently bought white single coil pickup covers to replace my black ones on my fender mim jazz bass. How would i go about doing this? any help is appreciated, thanks.

    Loosen the strings and remove the four screws holding in the pickup.

    Carefully lift the pickup out of the cavity and then using something like a pencil, push in the magnets to push the pickup out of the cover. It's just held in by friction. They usually come out pretty easily. Be careful of the wires. Take your time.

    Then press the pickup into the new cover, making sure you use the right one (neck or bridge) and screw the pickup back into the bass.

    Then adjust the hight after you tune the bass back up.
