I want to change the finish of my bass to a different color. But will I be able to sand off the old finish. The finsh uses I think polyurethane. The bass is a Peavey Milestone IV. Will I even be able to do this?

  2. The short answer is yes, you'll be able to take the old finish off. The long answer is that it'll take awhile if sanding is the only method used. Polyurethane is some tough stuff. It does yield to sanding but it'll help if you use some other chemical assistance.
