Changing the Rubber Feet on the TH 500

Discussion in 'Amps and Cabs [BG]' started by AREA, Jun 3, 2019.

  1. Hello,

Has anyone ever opened his Aguilar Tonehammer? I would have to mount new rubber feet, because the originals are very small and the amp touches on my box handle. The screws of the feet are secured from the inside with a nut. Has anyone ever done that? Are all nuts accessible? thanks for your help.

If you're brave and reasonably competent; you could take it apart and change the feet properly. If you're like me and not too competent or brave, you could just get some silcon stick on cushions and put them onto the feet already there.

Just screw some taller feet to the top of the Cab.

When I had to open up my TH500, to resecure one of the fan screw& bolts, which worked it self loose, I noticed that some of the screws holding the cover, were really tight, what I found out, in situations like that, use a #1 Philips head screwdriver, that has new, crisp blades, as it took some torque to undo the grip, it you don't, you'll cam out the screw heads, also use some clear nail polish to lock the nut & bolts together, some folks use locktite- blue, or those nylon insert nuts. Just a suggestion
