I was thinking of starting to learn fretless, but I don't really want to invest hundreds of dollars on one, and not really use it... So would it be worth it to get like, a 1-300 dollar one? _-soto-_

I'm not positive, but I think its alright. I'm actually planning on doing the same thing. I'm hoping to get a MIM fretless fender or an Essex fretless jazz.

Try an MTD - I have an immaculate fretless Kingston 4 (ebony with phenolic fretboard) for $299.00

  4. cheap fretless = good idea

If you're not sure that is. Buy cheap, no worries.

I just got an MTD Kingston 5 used on ebay for $450 . Sounds good, and the neck is great, but the original owner did install a Bartolini pre in it...
