Ive heard a lot about online stores that sell quality violin strings and such for really cheap. Has anyone heard of one of these for bass/guitar strings? I am really interested, cause strings get to be expensive for me as I have three basses(one four, one five, and one six!) HELP!
  2. Well, there is www.webstrings.com , but I don't like their strings (they sound dead). I prefer buying from www.juststrings.com . They have a large variety, charge one flat shipping fee for any size order, and they provide great customer service. Try out their SIT Powerwounds. They sound good and are quite affordable.:)

What would you consider cheap? $15?
  5. Ernie Ball makes great strings for an inexpensive price. You should be able to find them for $16 at any music store or online store like www.juststrings.com

life's too short to buy cheap strings

get some DR's or Thomastiks and know what your bass REALLY sounds like ;)

Assuming, natch, that the stupid DR's don't all
break...never again will I buy a set of those...

Cheap strings: Carvin's strings are GHS Boomers
in a different wrapper. $30 for 3 sets of 4 stringers.
Some people hate 'em, some love 'em but you
can't beat that price vs. quality ratio.
