cheat notes

    don't know why i never thought of this before.

    had an audition yesterday and there was one particular song i kept flubbing while practicing it in the house. didn't want to bring along any notes and realized I could could write my notes on the bottom of my left thumb (and that whole area of my hand and wrist if needed). just kinda looked like a weird tatoo, and nobody even noticed. it worked in college on spanish tests, and still works now :) .

    just thought i'd pass that along.

    When I start off with a new band or have to learn a bunch of covers, I normally bring a spiral notebook with my notes along and lay it on top of my amp. Invariably it falls down, and the band has to wait while I search for it and flip to the page the next song it on.

    So much for "open-book" gigs!
