    I don't know if any of you have seen one of these, but I thought I'd throw it out there. This is a Steinberber XP-2 that I purchased around 1985. It has a graphite neck and wooden body with passive pickups. I have replaced the pick guard once when I broke the cable jack out of it and the tuning pegs numerous times since they seem to wear out easily.
    This bass has been to hell and back and sounds just as good as it did day one.
    The 80's kicked ass.

    Always wanted one of those...

    I like basses with weird bodies.

    Of course the sound counts a bit too.
