I got this one on Ebay. Westone Quantum, kind of a Steinberger copy. And one of the best I have ever played, too. This one is for nostalgia's sake more than anything else, I owned one of these when I was a teenager playing heavy metal.

This is my gift to myself out of our tax return. Unfortunately, most of it will go on bills.

Nice bass! I like it, it's like a Steiny...but bigger. I'd play it.

Nice buy!!! Time to get yourself some Spandex, Jeff!!!

I've read some good things about old Matsumoko Westones. The company was around since the 60's and made instruments for Aria and Epiphone.
Or, is it a Korean Westone???

I got a kick when they came out with "The Rail"

Mine is MIJ, I guess that makes it a Matsumoko?

I have played The Rail, and while it is a decent headless, the Quantum sounds much better. Or, at least it did last time I played either one, which was about 12 years ago.

And Rick, you don't want to see me in spandex!:p

Nino, if it sounds as good as my rose coloured memory tells me, I'm sure that it will get some live use. It would be cool to play a song or two on.

Plus, it will be a great practice bass to leave sitting around.

"Sigh" ....I had one of those until it ot ripped off - I liked it better than the Steinberger.
Eventually replaced it with a Yamaha BX1 headless.

I'm sorry to hear that, LowEnd. I hate people who take other people's belongings, especially musical gear.
