Well, it's new to me. I just got this bass in a trade from the orginal owner and it's less than 6 months old. The orginal owner decided to play 5 stringer's only.
This is an incredible bass. It plays like butter.Incredible workmanship and the top is gorgous which the pics don't do it justice.
    Here's the specs:
    -Ribboned Mahogony body
-Full face burl maple top with matching headstock
    -Flame maple/purple heart neck : Neck-Thru
    -Ebony fingerboard
    -Ebony control knobs
-Bartolini soap bars with Bartolini Ntmb pre-amp with active bypass

That is SUCH a cool bass -- good work man. I really, really dig Chris Stambaugh's work. Enjoy it!

How did you like the price ?

Chris bid on a custom for me and I found him to be quite reasonable.

Yea his prices are very reasonable especially for what you are getting. And you can customize as much as you want.

    Congrats!:D

I've played a few and have found they're incredibly well made! In fact, he seems to coax a VERY rich midrange out of that mahogany that I haven't heard anywhere else.

    Excellent score...enjoy!:D

I think Joe and I agree that my Stambaugh singlecut fretless 5 is a flat-out bargain.
I still have the one on the far left. The bass on the far right is now owned by a friend.

    The dreaded fretless shot...

I like them also... I play the fretted everyday and look at the single cut everyday... my fretless playing has been taken over by my new Marchlewski.
