Well, I finally got around to snapping some pics of my MIM P-bass tonight. I had been between pickguards and strings for awhile but ended up making (what i feel) is the perfect choice. Even though I had a major GAS attack over the summer, I have a feeling i will be keeping this one for awhile

Ended up with a Tort guard with D'Addario chromes. Also have a BA II Bridge and am contemplating the Bayou Cables P-bass wiring harness + vintage cloth wiring. Anyone have the wiring harness and notice any difference?. I'll end up tossing a new set of pickups aswell at this time (undecided).

    Annyways- Here it is.

    Lemme know what you think.

    That's sweet. :bassist:
  4. The white body and tortoise shell pick guard look great, especially with the baddass bridge.

    Exactly what I was thinking!

Anyone know where i can buy pickguards for Deluxe Precision basses? I have an extra knob compared to the standards, so I'm kinda stuck...

Ah! That's the site I saw a while ago for a Geddy replacement.

BTW, are the American and Mexican pickguards the same size?

Nope. The neck spacing is different, the pickup placement is different, and the knob placement is different. The bodies also have a slightly different size.

    That's awesome. Love that combo.
  18. Wish I knew how to get nice closeups like that. Oh and, Nice Bass!
  19. Which white is that, is it the Arctic? Looks like a whole different instrument than the white/white factory scheme. Different and more expensive looking.

So the pickguard on the left wouldn't fit a MIM but the one of the right would?
