I think I saw an ad for that in the latest BP. Pretty pretty.

I'm gonna have to get myself an Allen one-a-dese-days. I've drooled over the 6 string fretless that BunnyBass had many times.

That Deep5 is kinda the same basic idea as the Curbow that's currently being built to my specs.

    The Curbow has:
-2 1/2" thick Spanish Cedar back-hollowed out, of course
-1/8" Sitka Spruce top with F-hole and classical guitar style bracing
-6 string fretless rockwood neck with rockwood fretboard and sperzel tuners
    -singlecutaway
-Rick Turner Piezo bridge, or Lightwave pickups
    -TI Acousticore strings

I'm going to be in real trouble when this thing is complete...

  5. Not for me...

    I dun like single cuts(unless it's JP's ;))

    and...

I am not a fan of that headstock at all...nice finish though.

I like Rob's new models, though the Deep 5 shape isn't as nice as his regular shape, in my opinion. Great concept, and the koa is gorgeous!

I wonder what kind of transducer is in the top?

Look down in the bottom of the pic with the description, "4 or 5 string" . But I bet you will still have to wait a while to get one.

I've only played one Rob Allen and it sounded fantastic. Just a solid thump. That said, I hate single cut aways but would take one on a good deal. ;)

That looks mahhhvelous. I wish I could afford to get a Rob Allen. Every time I go to NYC I play one at Rudy's on 48th St and I love it. I wonder how much these will cost. No price on the site.

    thanks! :)
true true. Not to mention havin' a few disposable simoleons available.

I think I'll keep savin' for a Demeter power amp for my current R/a's and
    maybe re-visit de-frettin' my Casady :p

This looks okay, but a little awkward next to the original design. I think Allen got it right the first time.
