nice, especially the colour and lack of scratchplate, but could use somenting on the headstock, just not my thing. looks mis-matched

That's a nice bass man! You built that yourself? Wow. I like the see thru fade blue paint job too. I bet that thing thumps HARD. Nice job!

Put a clear perspex pickguard on it. IMO the J body looks lost without those complimentary curves. Also, the color mismatch between the body and the headstock grates a bit. If you can't 'burst the headstock face, make it black. But whatever - nice job.

  7. I disagree...I actually like it naked (no pickguard) and that dark wood on the headstock looks classy...IMO...a painted headstock on this style bass would look too cheesy.

I love that color burst. I always wanted a bass with that burst.

Cheesy is as cheesy does... A maple headstock would go better with that neat blueburst.
As for the clear pickguard, this is the idea:

hey guys thanks for the replies
I built the body and the neck is a warmoth jazz neck. I build both the bodies and necks on some instruments I build but, warmoth gets some exotic woods that I would have trouble getting a hold of. Even If I could get a hold of it, it would cost me way more than a warmoth neck would.(I can only buy in small quantity).
Anyway here are some more pics of a bass I built Neck And All..
    This Bass Has
    Alder body
Flatsawn maple neck with birdseye fingerboard
    Sadowsky hum-cancelling pj pickups
    Aguilar obp-1
    hipshot tuners
    Schaller Bridge
Satin Lacquer finish on both body and neck
Full Bass Back 1 Back 2 fingerboard
