Here we go again folks, another clip, similiar genre of music. This is sort of a remake of the original tune by the group OutKast. What I like about it, is how musicians get the chance to show their stuff on the cut. The excerpt here is short and highlights the bass solo. Enjoy!

    Ms Jackson

I don't think this is commericially available, it was a promotional CD called "Unwrapped, the lifestyle sampler". I'm not sure who the bassist here is.

(Do you have the whole version?)

  6. Very cool bass solo... if you ever find out who the low-ender is, let us know so we can hear more of his/her stuff!!! Don't really care too much for Outkast, though.

Which is why the demo is called "UNWRAPPED". It's was put out by Hidden Beach Recordings, features Patrice Rushen, Paul Jackson Jr, and others.

I got it from a friend, that pooh-poohed it, so I said, "Gimme dat!"

    The bassist: Andrew Gouche

    Definitely a Stanley disciple...
    I dug it.

    BTW, mainstream + bass solo?
How 'bout "Taurus" by Dennis Coffey & The Detroit Guitar Band? "Taurus" was a Top-10 hit back in the early '70s...1/2 of the the 3:00 tune is a bass solo by Bob Babbitt! ;)
