  4. Seriously?
Everything on it is wrong. Wrong bridge (for USA), wrong headstock shape, wrong tuners, wrong (fake) logo, wrong body shape, “Made in San Luis Obispo” logo is fake and in the wrong spot...etc

Seriously. Yes. That’s why I asked. Not everyone knows what you know. How else are we supposed to learn?

    LMAO @ that headstock!

  7. Sorry if I came off a bit curt...but this is TB, where everyone is a bonafide expert and where sarcasm runs rampant...sometimes I don’t know who is sincere and who is being an a-hole just for the sake of being an a-hole...
(And I’m on my 4th glass of wine...)

It's cool. I don't know much about basses and counterfeit basses. Now if you asked me about counterfeit tennis racquets I could probably tell you about that.

Looking at it again and comparing it to some other stingrays on the bay I can see what you mean. The bridge is off and that headstock shape too. Also something about the shape of the body doesn't look right. That was really the only thing I noticed at first glance.

It looks like a lot of people are as ignorant as me. It's got 20 watchers!

  9. Heres a couple screenshots, to help when the listing disappears

  10. You would think that if someone was gonna fake a MM they might at least use the Sterling SUB range. At least they look a bit more like a Stingray than this piece of junk. I hope no one gets ripped off with this.

    Wa-wa-wait... HERE?????!!! :smug:

  12. This is strange because the seller has 96 Feedback score with nothing negative and has sold quite a few items. Yeah 96 isn't much but he's been an ebayer for 10 years. I'm wondering if he might not know it's fake. Maybe he bought if cheap and figured he's flip it for the going price. It's definitely a DH Gate special.

I’d be willing to bet the seller doesn’t know it’s a fake. I mean, their couch has a plastic cover...

Yessir, fake. Neck looks wrong, but may be the image quality.
Ask seller if they would mind posting the serial number since they're asking $1,000 it is a reasonable request.
