Spalt maple. It's cool looking, but too furniture-y in my opinion.
  7. Yeah it is pretty furniture like... if i bought that bass, i'd probably glue coasters to it... :D

I personally feel they shouldn've used Wenge....

Actually, as much as I think it's a pretty bass, the bridge and control knobs stand out too much. I think they actually detract from the wood.

    Maybe it's just me...

No, I agree :( especially the bridge. TUners too.

With chrome or gold hardware. . .!!

Also the plain maple fingerboard looks pretty drab in comparison to the body. Can anyone say cocobolo? :)

i think an all black FRETLESS neck would work well considering the bridge. however, the pickup covers would also have to be black. i think that combination could work:D

but thats just me, and what do i know?

I like it. I'll agree with the bridge thing.

It looks like it was censored.:D
  18. That bridge is definitely wrong for that bass... You've got these beautiful wood covers for the pickups and then a huge chunk of black metal at the end of the body. Something's not right about that. :)

Now with a cocobolo board and gold/chrome hardware, that would be one of the nicest basses I've ever seen.
