    I've seen "buckle rash" on basses before, but that is unbelievable!:eek:

  5. Buckle Rash? This is Buckle Leprosy. But I bet it still sounds good. If you're not a collector, this is one refinish away from being a sweet bass, I bet.

    Yep, just a little sand down and new coat with some sealer, beautiful bass had for cheap.

    The selles states that it's a refinish. My guess is the re-fin was done poorly. A belt buckle & a bassist that jumps around alot can do major damage to a cheap finish.

    If I were to but it, I'd leave it as is. It has alot od character!!!!!
