Checked Out the Alvarez 6 String Today

    I found one at Mars music. I played it through a Fender Bassman 25 (since I intend on buying it... that's all I use in stores) and it sounded okay. A nice full sound... kinda midway between bassy and not. Not too much treble. It was very nice looking. It was comfortable resting on your body and the neck was okay too... BUT

    Man I don't know if they could possibly get those strings any closer. I thought it sounded pretty good for a cheap bass. But man alive that string spacing just killed it. I wouldn't own it for the $250 MF wants... It's not playable enough for me.

    really? i was going to get one of these too...instead i decided to spend the xtra $ and get trb 5II...good thing i didnt :D (btw it was the 5 string i was going to get)
