    This is one of the rare, and very fine Fender Japan 51PRI's that's not the horrid school bus yellow.
    These are from a limited production run from 2001 to commemorate the 1951's 50th Anniversary.
    I've seen one other of these trade, ever.
    "Fender Crafted in Japan," serial number Q011998.

    This one is a beautiful, well balanced and highly figured piece of ash; very scenic.
    Nice, thin trans blonde finish;
    not the "mile thick" finish that's on the school bus yellow versions.

    Period proper reverse wound tuners.

    The pickup has been replaced with an SD SCPB3 (stock included), and cavities shielded

    The 2 saddle bridge has been replaced with a new Fender American Deluxe 4 saddle bridge (stock included).

    Loose early type side jack was replaced with a stouter cup style jack.

    I shaved down the p/g at the trussrod so the neck no longer has to be removed to be adjusted.
    1 3/4" at the nut, nice comfortable depth, feels great and plays out fabulously.

    weight 9lbs 2 oz on my digital fish scale....

    Comes in a nice TKL case.

    Chef, what in the Wide World Of Sports are you thinking?!?!

    LOL - that's a heck of a price drop (and an INSANE deal to boot)!

    I say someone snags this one in 10...9...8... (etc)...
