Does anyone have any info on this school? It is part of Roosevelt University. I'm looking at it as a possibility for my masters. Any information would be much appreciated, thanks!

    Yes, I do.

CCPA teachers are Steve and Mike from the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. My teacher has studied and (still does) study with Mike, who just transfered there from Northwestern University.

From what I understand, the school is not always consistent overall. (This not speaking about the bass program, but the school as a whole) In otherwords I have heard some years the players, program, and what they produce is very top notch. Othertimes it is not. Make sure if you go, to call ahead to meet with the instructors, take a tour, and see the place in action. It is kinda confusing, since it is spread out on two or three giant floors.

As far as Bass goes: I hear this is the place for jazz bass from a current student. But that may have changed since Mike began teaching there.

That is just what I have been told. Does anyone else know anything?
