Children Say: Mark King and his Alembic

Loved those two Alembics he used to play. To my ears, he seemed to set the controls fairly conventionally, but really using the filters to give the 'quack' tone they can produce.

As a point of interest, he sold them around the turn of the millennium, I believe, around the time that the first Status Kingbass Prototypes were being made. I recall one of the now-defunct Level 42 fan pages where fans would write in and ask questions of Mark and he'd post back replies, there was a fan question on there asking if he had sold them because of the weight!
