Chinese/Asian amps...why aren't as ubiquitous as instruments are?

    And I'm not referring to the dozens of American and Europeans companies that actually took their manufacturing to the Asia/Pacific realm. I'm talking about indigenous brands that could compete with the established brands. Thoughts? TIA

    In Europe at least it might be because people are wising up to fake CE marking?

    There are there and made, but the necessary investment to have stocks of them available in the UK is not there. Retailing electrical goods requires more investment than stuff with no mains plug on. You can buy handwired valve amps right from China cheerfully, but don't expect them to be shoved under your nose by marketing.
