after posting a couple of threads asking for advice on which bass to get, i have narrowed it down to 2.
    Either:
Peavey Dyne (4 or 5 string)
    or
OLP Stingray (The one that is about £200 or so) from musiciansfriend.com
    which is better
    any help is much appreciated.
(sorry- i know that there have been a lot of threads about OLP 'rays but i really need advice)
    Cheers

I guess my vote would have to be for the Peavey. Whether you get the 4 or the 5 is up to you.

I have tried both, and I was not too impressed with the OLP Stingray. IMO, I think the Dyna bass is a better bet.

I would get the Peavey Dyna. Much better electronics than the OLP.

Halt, recoil, go previous. This is not the Dyna I think we had in mind. Peavey Obviously has rehashed the name on a lesser model to cause confusion. I remember when I was in Germany, the Cirrus I saw was made in Korea.

This is the one you probably saw:

ok, sorry for going on about this for so long, but i have thought of another bass (around the same price) that , if possible, i would like to know of the quality relayive to the others.
    the OLP Stingray (£200 ish)
the new Peavey Dyna(£199 or £219 for 5 string)
    the Epiphone Thunderbird (£224)
