if you had the money which would you choose between a fender jazz bass and an ibanez AGB140 semi hollow(http://www.ibanez.com/guitars/guitar.asp?model=AGB140)

i would appreciate it also if you could include why-advantages
and disadvantages rather than simply personal opinion

(i am also open to other suggestions in that general price range)
  2. i would go for the ibanez asb the double cut away is so much nice and is in a nicer colour, you might get feedback with hollowbodys, the fenders have slimmer necks, both are nice basses, i was going to get a ibanez asb a while ago but couldent find anywhere in the uk to buy from. musicman SUB basses are nice, and cheaper than that, the OLP basses have been rated very hightly is bass guitar magazine, i would go probably go for the jazz bass, they are realy versatile.
  3. when it comes to the double cutaway style hollow body I've always preferred gretsch, the newer electrotone sound great but I still have a thing for those old style broadkasters :)

    for a good price.
