Hi, What I do is I listen to the worship CDs, and learn the basslines by ear - I would suggest that you start learning to use this technique, as most praise and worship music would not have tabs available as they are too new. Once you get the hang of it, it becomes second nature, and all it takes then is one or two listens (unless it's a fast song with a complex bassline, or the bassist is Abraham Laboriel ).
bass guitar i cant do that u see i only have 4 days to learn the music . bassplayer13 thanks for the site it will help.
Your church will probably provide the guitar chords for you, and then you can just modify the roots a little bit. That's what I do. You won't want to get too complicated; it ends up detracting from the song.
4 days is plenty of time (well, for me anyway) to listen and learn the "feel" and "groove" of some of the harder fast songs. The slow songs should be easier to pick up. Isn't your church band going to rehearse these songs? You can learn the chords from the pianist or guitarist during rehearsals, which should happen if this is a music conference (you will get lots of musicians there). And like bassman1185 was saying, you can also get the songbooks for the songs from the church or worship team. Which songs are you going to play that you have problems with? Maybe some of us are familiar with them and can help.
This is a sortta old thread, but anyway... I really like Christian Guitar (Where I spend the other half of my time!), but they have already removed certian songs. The Rockin' With the Cross site hasn't yet (I think). It is the link Chasarms posted. Lee
