Saw an advert on television last night for Sting's new live album, and noticed that there was an acoustic bass player on stage with him.

I've also seen the video for Sting's new single, 'Fragile', and though I don't like the song, this same acoustic bass player was in the video with him. Some tasty bass-playing.

The bassist looks like McBride to me. I was just wondering if anyone could confirm this.

    Best wishes,
    David

That is McBride. Actually, I like this updated version much better than the original. Stop the presses: Sting actually changes keys for one chorus!

Now who's the cellist in the video?

I will pick-up these 'new' Sting LIVE album(I haven't bought his last 2...IMO, the SOS factor had set in).
Anyway, I have heard the new, re-vamped version of "If You Love Someone Set Them Free"...'funkier' than what was played on The Dream Of The Blue Turtles record.
    Chris McBride, huh? Makes sense...
