    Yep, tough decision all right.

    I think Gold.

(Sorry, I really couldn't choose between chrome or black!)

Black :) Black always works for me against a natural , dark wood finish.

+1. Doesn't distract from admiring the wood

So we have 3 black voters here, why are all the chrome voters in hiding?

+100. Gold always looks tacky, and Chrome looks tacky and cheap on a wood finish, IMO.

Chrome for color finishes, Black for natural.

Black goes well especially with darker woods. Black hardware + Cocobolo top =

    I like the gold.
  13. I vote for wood. Honestly I think Black only looks good on lightly colored woods like Ash or Maple. Chrome really doesn't do it at all for me. Gold looks the best for metal knobs. However I think wood knobs (made from the same wood as your center stripe) would really look the best..

..But seeing as I'm likely to be by myself in this thinking..

gold or black, chrome seems totally out of place there.

Call me cheap, but I like chrome. There aren't that many natural finish basses out there with chrome, but I think it looks good. I like the contrast it creates.
