Maybe I missed it, but I didn't see another thread on this. Guitar great Chuck Loeb died on Monday. I've been a fan of his for along time, his albums always had great bassist on them and he was always involved in projects that had badass bassist. [Fourplay/Steps Ahead] He was way too young! Fly on Chuck...................................
So sad...he was WAY too young. I took a guitar lesson with Chuck in 1976 when he was fresh out of college and I was a snot-nosed 15-year-old just getting into jazz. Even back then he was a pretty freakin amazing musician. RIP, Chuck.
Thanks for reminding me Jim! I broke it out today, it's been so long since I listened to it I forgot it was a live album. Even scarier for me was that the album came out in 1992, twenty five years ago and it seems like yesterday. Victor just kills on it too!
Listening to this album...now. Loeb is screaming on this thing. Victor Bailey & Dennis Chambers are great together, too.
