Like many of you I keep on eye on my local CL watching for deals. Last night I was looking on CL and found this: http://cleveland.craigslist.org/msg/1285231614.html I emailed him and went to check it out today and I had it back here and torn apart, cleaned and strung up with new strings by noon. Everything works perfect and the little amp is going to my one daughter.
son of a gun! some people do well for themselves, and others are the poor schlubs slinging their crap on CL
Last week I found someone selling a 20th anniversary Squire strat in perfect condition along with a Marshall practice amp, the pair for $65. I am always watching CL for deals. Now I have a pair of P-basses, one with Flat wounds one with round wounds.
Which one of you lucky ducks got the Fender Telebass in Brooklyn about two months ago? I think the asking price was $150. It had a Seymour Duncan, or possibly a DiMarzio pickup. I spoke with the guy and he didn't know what he had (I mean, he didn't know much about the bass). I know, I should've cancelled all plans and run over there.... Anyway, I'd love to know if that was a real deal or what. A search around here yields nothing, but I hope a TB'er snagged it.
I just ordered the fender chrome bridge cover and the chrome pickup cover along with a white pearl pick guard for it.
