Does anyone know about Clark Sommers? According to blujazz.com he's a Cal Arts grad and studied with Charlie Hayden.

I just recently discovered his playing from a cut of "It Was a Very Good Year" off the new John Goldman album "In Walked Pierre".

Clark starts the tune with Greg Wiserpratt on drums vamping this *irresistable* line. These guys really made this tune jump.

You can hear the head after the vamp at blujazz.com
and there's a snipet of the middle section over at John Goldman's site.

*DISCLAIMER* I am in no way affiliated with John Goldman, Blujazz Productions, or any subsidiary thereof ;)

I know of him. He is an amazing bassist. I am currently studying under him at Arts West school for the preforming and visual arts.

Clark and Greg are both great guys. I've played with Greg on a few occasions and hung with Clark. Unfortunately neither is in Chicago anymore.
